Why is the World Wicked? – “Power Without Glory” – Frank Hardy

Occasionally, his youngest son would come into the room before going to bed and ask: “What are you writing, Dad?”

Frank Ashton would answer: “I am writing a book to tell everyone that this is a wicked wordl and that they must fight to change it.”

The lad, scarely eleven years old, would answer: “Why is this a wicked world, Dad?” and that was a difficult question to answer one so young.

This is the rub. If you can’t explain your world view to a child, it’s probably not worthwhile.
