It won the Commonwealth Writers award for Asia/Pacific this year so it's had some recognition outside Australia. That being said, I'm not sure what international readers will make of it. There's a lot of piss-taking in it that could be easily misinterpreted if you didn't 'speak Australian' ie everyone refers to their Greek friends as wogs etc..
